Frontline Plus – Highly Recommended To Kill Fleas And Ticks

I have the cutest Labrador in the world, but the only problem with him is that he seems to attract fleas just as rapidly as North Pole attracts South Pole! Every year I am faced with this monstrous problem of getting rid of fleas and flea eggs and keeping it that way. That is when I learnt about Frontline from a pet owner friend of mine. When I decided to buy Frontline, I started googling to learn more about flea and tick medicines and what would be the best for my dog. I learnt that Merial manufactures Frontline and FrontLine Plus and the difference between these two products is that Frontline contains Fipronil, an ingredient that kills fleas. But Frontline Plus contains an additional ingredient called S-Methoprene apart from Fipronil. This salt helps to kill flea eggs as well. I finally decided to buy Frontline Plus and started my research for the cheapest prices on Frontline available on the web. I bought a 3 pack Frontline Plus Purple for Large Dogs off the web to try the product. I thought that if my dog and I liked the product, I would order the 12 pack Purple for Large Dogs next time which was being offered as free shipping. That way I would save more!

After one application, I could get rid of 98% of fleas and its eggs! It usually takes about 18 hours to kill all fleas. It is effective for a month and may even last upto 3 months in dogs and about 6-7 weeks in cats. Another application of Frontline Plus becomes necessary when you start noticing the reappearance of fleas or ticks. Frontline Plus has worked like a charm for me ever since, and I have been using it for about 3 years now.

Recently I noticed that the online pharmacy I usually buy from has started selling generic Fipronil which is an essential ingredient in Frontline Plus for way less than brand Frontline Plus. I am considering buying the generic version of Frontline and from what I have researched so far, generic and brand Frontline are exactly the same except for the fact that brand Frontline is manufactured by Merial and generic might be manufactured by various other manufacturers. A word of caution though. When buying generic Fipronil, make sure that it is manufactured in FDA approved manufacturing plants. These plants do not necessarily have to be located in US.
